Dr. Regina Housley, DVM
Medical Director + Veterinarian
Dr. Housley grew up in St. Helens where she attended and graduated St. Helens High School. After graduating, she completed her undergraduate studies at Oregon State University. OSU did not have a veterinary program at that time so upon graduation she worked in Cornelius on a dairy farm and then pursued a Master’s degree in Animal Science at the University Minnesota. It was fortuitous that she had friends in veterinary school who convinced her to reconsider veterinary medicine. She graduated from the University of Minnesota, College of Veterinary Medicine in 1985. Some of her post graduate work included an internship in North Carolina, a Residency at The University of California, Davis and board certification in Laboratory Animal Medicine. She returned to Oregon in 2013 where she began doing veterinary relief work.
Dr. Housley is passionate about improving animal and human health and well-being. She gained her love for animals from her mother. Her mother was a nurturer and care-taker for many animals and children over the years. She regularly takes classes on animal behavior, the human-animal bond and human/animal welfare. In her free time she enjoys traveling and spending time with her son and family, her 2 retired ponies and her dog, Cinnamon.
